David Textiles’ textile designer’s salary rises $7M
David Textils textile designer David Kallis made a total of $7.5 million in his last year of employment.
The company announced in a statement that the company had “graduated” the 37-year-old, who previously worked for Gap, Kmart, and Walmart.
He will receive a bonus of $1,500 per year.
Kallissian’s first year was as an assistant designer for Gap.
He was hired in 2014, when the company announced it was buying its apparel division, which included brands like Louis Vuitton, J.
Crew, and Gucci.
In January 2017, David was named a Senior Vice President at David Kalls.
Kalls also has a consulting and advisory role with the clothing and accessories division of Dillard’s, which also includes brands like J. Crew, Gucci, and Macy’s.
In February 2018, David announced his intention to resign from the company.
In a statement, David said he “felt like a failure and was ready to move on.”
The company also noted that it had “expressed an interest in purchasing a new textile designer in the future,” and it will remain a textile designer until “we are able to rehire him or her.”
