Oaxaca Textiles: The People and the Textile Industry
Oaxacan, Mexico’s southernmost state, has been in the grips of a serious health crisis since early January.
From the beginning, the outbreak has been attributed to a coronavirus outbreak, but the outbreak is now largely under control.
Here are the most notable health incidents: January 12, 2018: Two people die in Oaxacán after a car carrying the wife of a governor was struck by a tractor-trailer in the town of Tixtla.
December 28, 2017: At least one person dies and another is critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in the state of Oaxar.
December 21, 2017.
A woman dies after falling from a building in the central city of Ciudad Juarez, which was hit by a truck carrying a man accused of killing his wife.
The case remains under investigation.
December 1, 2017, at least nine people are killed and another 23 are injured in an explosion in the provincial capital of Guadalajara, which authorities said was carried out by the Mexican drug cartel MS-13.
December 11, 2017; two people are dead and another 15 are injured after an explosion at a home in the city of Guatlan, which is close to the border with Mexico.

November 20, 2018 In the state-run state of Zacatecas, at a funeral for former President Carlos Salinas, two people, one of them a woman, are killed when gunmen burst into a house during a prayer ceremony.
November 14, 2018 in Zacateches, Mexico; a woman is killed after being shot by her boyfriend, who was also in the house when the shooting took place.
November 7, 2018; two men are killed by gunfire after two men were caught in a traffic accident in a town near the border of Obrador, in the province of Monzon.
October 26, 2018, a truck is set on fire near a church in the western state of Jalisco, where it was found to be loaded with a large quantity of cocaine, according to the governor’s office.
October 17, 2018 Two people, including a child, are shot and seriously injured after a group attacked a church, killing one man and injuring six others in a city in the region of Guaynabo.
