How to Buy a Walmart WalMart logo-less t-shirt
When you think of Walmart, you think about its iconic white t-shirts.
They are the quintessential retail destination for shoppers looking to save money and go out of their way to look their best.
But when it comes to t-shirts, the retailer has been getting flack for its lackluster selection.
Walmart, for instance, is still in the process of removing all its logos from its merchandise.
“The company is committed to supporting all our customers with the right materials, and we are committed to providing quality merchandise to our loyal customers,” the company wrote on its website on June 28.
“We will continue to look for ways to improve our quality control processes, and will make improvements as necessary.”
But that doesn’t mean shoppers will have to look anywhere else for the best t- shirts.
“Walmart has always been known as a place to shop, and the lack of quality apparel is disappointing to all of us,” one commenter wrote on the Walmart forum.
“I’m tired of Walmart not offering any quality t-Shirts for sale anywhere but their store.
This is why I’m buying my own shirts instead.”
But some customers may be left feeling unsatisfied.
“A lot of my friends are still buying Walmart t-SHirts even though the company has been taking so long to remove the logo,” another wrote.
“It’s just plain dumb.”
Walmart has removed the Walmart logo from all merchandise, but the company is still selling the shirt from the t-shop at its main locations.
The company also is reportedly working on a new t- shirt with a more subtle Walmart logo, but that may not be ready until September, according to The Wall Street Journal.
In addition to t shirts, Walmart is reportedly looking to bring back its signature red t-neck sweater and white turtleneck.
And it’s not just its t-store t-tops that have had a tough time finding a way to sell t- shirts.
In the last week, a Walmart shopper in Florida complained that the t shirts he bought had a Walmart logo on the back of them.
“At first I thought they were a joke, and then I realized they were real t- merchandise and Walmart, and they were still selling them, and I got mad,” he told the Florida Today newspaper.
“That’s when I started getting upset.”
He then went to Walmart’s headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, and reported his story to the company.
Walmart has since released a statement about the incident.
“While we don’t have all the details about the situation, we take this issue seriously,” the statement said.
“This was a clear breach of our policies and procedures, and Walmart has taken action to remedy it.
We have launched an internal investigation into the matter.”
